It is always best to test a small amount of a new product on your hand/arm before using fully, in case of allergy reactions.

DIY Facial Toner
Ingredients:
- Witch Hazel
- Rose Water or Lavender Essential Oil
- Tea Tree Oil
- Apple Cider Vinegar
Directions: Add in your desired essential oils to a small spray bottle (5-10 drops), fill about 1/4 of the way with apple cider vinegar, another 1/4 of the way with witch hazel, and the rest with distilled water. Shake well and keep in a room temperature setting before use.
Recommended Use: After washing your face spray onto a cotton pad or ball and apply to your face following up with your face moisturizer. Using toner helps to restore your skin’s pH balance, shrinks pores, moisturizes and refreshes skin. Quick Tip: To seal in the products try using a jade roller!
DIY Foot & Hand Scrub
Ingredients:
- Sugar
- Lemons (2-3)
- Coconut Oil
Directions: Using a small container or mason jar pour in sugar (the amount you desire) and seat a few lemons. Add the zest and juice the same lemons (no waste) adding in your desired amount of lemon juice. If you want your scrub to be more smooth add in all the juice, if you want to maintain the texture of a true scrub you can just start with a couple teaspoons. Same goes for the coconut oil, this is to add moisture so the lemon doesn’t completely dry out your skin while using the scrub. If you are not a fan of coconut oil, you do not have to include it; just remember to use a good moisturizer right after you rinse off the scrub.
Recommended Use: After a long day/week take a moment to exfoliate your hands and feet. This lemon sugar scrub is simple and beneficial to cleansing the busiest parts of your outer body. Before you take a shower use this scrub on your hands and/or feet then follow with a rinse. Afterwards you should feel smoother and healthier skin. Quick Tip: After applying the scrub and rubbing it in, take plastic wrap and cover your feet and hands letting it rest for 10-15 minutes for great results and an excuse to sit down and relax of course!
DIY Natural Deodorant
Ingredients:
2 tbsp of Coconut Oil
2 tbsp of Shea Butter
1-2 tbsp of Beeswax
1-2 tbsp Arrowroot Powder
3-5 drops of Castor Oil or Vitamin E Oil
A combined total of 25-30 drops of Lavender and Tea Tree essential oils
Directions: In a heat-safe bowl, add in the coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax. Using the double boiler method, melt down the three ingredients added into the bowl, be sure to stir often. Once the ingredients have completely melted, remove the bowl from the heat. Allow the mixture to cool down for 2-4 minutes (do not allow the mixture to resolidify). Next, add in the arrowroot powder, stir until completely dissolved. Next, add in either castor oil or vitamin E oil, whichever you prefer. There are great benefits to both but, vitamin E oil acts as a natural preservative. Be sure to add in your favorite essential oils for an extra boost of freshness. I typically reach for lavender and tea tree oil due to their soothing and anti-bacterial properties. Have fun and experiment with different scent combinations. Once you have added in your essential oils, pour mixture into a clean deodorant bottle or, into an airtight jar. Lastly, allow the deodorant to solidify - to speed up the process you can pop it into the fridge.
Recommended Use: This deodorant is best used after a nice shower or right before a quick workout. If this is your first time transitioning to a natural deodorant, application throughout the day may be necessary -- just be patient as your body learns to adjust. Quick Tip: If traveling with this deodorant, it is best to store it in an airtight container as opposed to a deodorant stick -- it is prone to melting if temperatures rise.

DIY Hair Mask/Deep Conditioner
Ingredients:
2 Ripe Avocados
Aloe Vera Juice or Water
2 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp of Almond Oil (or whatever oil your hair prefers)
Directions: In a blender, add in 2 ripe avocados with a little water and/or aloe vera juice in order to blend to a smooth yet, thick consistency. Once the desired consistency is reached, use a sifter or a nut milk bag to run the avocado mixture through, into an empty bowl -- this step will help catch any possible chunks or pieces left behind. Next, add in your honey and almond oil, stir until all ingredients are properly blended together. Once this is completed you can apply the mixture to wet or damp hair, add a plastic cap, and allow the mixture to sit in your hair for at least 1 hour. For best results, sit under a hooded dryer. Rinse out the deep conditioner and style your hair as usual.
Recommended Use: This deep conditioner is best used after you have freshly washed your hair, or if your hair is in need of a moisturizing pick-me-up before your next wash day.
