Being at home has turned many of us into plant lovers and I don't know about you but I am still learning how to navigate this green thumb life. Here is a list of five plants to help you in your plant journey and add much needed joy & oxygen to your home.

The Snake Plant

She is almost impossible to kill and gives your home a rustic modern vibe. This plant is considered a succulent and transforms carbon dioxide into oxygen at night. Yes sis, giving your fresh morning oxygen like a true homegirl plant should!

She stays hydrated on her own so you do not need to water her often and let her soil dry up between watering. Also this sista does not like her leaves wet, she does not have time for that!

Lastly, keep this homegirl in indirect light, she enjoys a bit of shade with her tea.

The Spider Plant

She will always have your back for more growth. The spider plant is completely nontoxic (great for children & pets) and needs to be watered regularly while she spends her days sunbathing! So placing her right in the window is perfect.

She grows fast and can spread the love because she easily propagates- Creating more of her to love! She is a great office plant and brings the happy vibes we all need while working from home or in an empty office setting.

Lastly, if you are looking for a bathroom plant this girl got you! She helps absorb odors while cleansing the air.

Golden Pothos

Yes, she is golden- Creating long vines to stretch and bring forest vibes in your home. Sis is here for the indirect sun and hydration every 1-2 weeks (check the soil in between).

If she starts to get a little too golden, you are over watering her. She also easily propagates like her ol' girl, the Spider Plant. Golden Pothos work to purify the air and love to hang for a length check.

The Peace Lily

Everyone needs a homegirl that removes toxic energy and Miss Peace Lily will keep it handled. She filters out toxic substances and produces humidity, because she can't see us out her dry.

She likes indirect light, keeping a distance from too much sun is key! She can burn up real easy, like out lighter skinned sistas.

Lastly, she is a bit of a diva and needs to be reserialized every 6 weeks and kept away from the cold.

The Pilea

Sis is so precious and pretty low maintenance! The Pilea loves humidity and bright settings. Hydration is a must, at least once a week unless it is in an already humid environment.

It is believed she can bring money luck into the household if you place a coin in the bottom of her soil. Low maintenance & giving ! I mean what else could you ask for in a homegirl plant.

We can't wait to see your homegirl, sista girl plants THRIVE! Tag us on social media to show your progress. AND THE FAILS!

We don't judge.
